Jeanise is passionate about social justice, protecting civil rights, and advocating for marginalized communities. She brings years of experience skillfully working on and leading teams, organizing and coordinating projects and communication, and building strong relationships to her role as a legal assistant at Beacon Employment Law.

Having graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science and double minors in Law and Legal Studies and Spanish, Jeanise is currently applying to law schools to further her commitment to making a positive impact on the world. Her academic achievements include receiving the Communications Focus Award, demonstrating her excellence in clear and effective communication.

As a legal assistant, Jeanise fulfills her passion by supporting the legal team and helping clients through their employment law journey. She actively listens to their stories and works diligently to provide comprehensive legal support, drawing on her strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and collaborative approach that she honed through her diverse professional background.

Having lived in Portland for eight years, Jeanise loves the access to nature and the changing seasons, especially the Pacific Northwest summers. She has a deep appreciation for the region's natural beauty, which fuels her dedication to her studies, community involvement, and volunteer work. Outside of her professional pursuits, Jeanise is an avid dog lover, enjoys traveling to new destinations, and is enthusiastic about sports.
